DAY ONE – San Jose
(Dinner Included)
Meet and greet at San Jose airport and transfer to your hotel, The Alta Resort, located approx. 25 minutes by car
DAY TWO –Sarapiqui, Hike and enjoy the Chocolate Tour, Sarapiqui Rainforest Lodge
(Breakfast-Lunch Included) After breakfast we’ll take private transportation through the Caribbean lowlands and Braulio Carrillo National Park to the Sarapiquì area, one of the best spots in Costa Rica to experience the many wonders of the tropical rainforest. Your local naturalist guide will lead you through the highlands to Tirimbina Reserve – one of the best birding spots in Costa Rica After you enjoy the amazing natural history of the tropical rainforest, flora, and fauna, you’ll head off to discover the secrets and marvels of one of humankind’s favorite foods – chocolate.
After a delicious lunch you will continue at your Sarapiqui area hotel.
DAY THREE –Arenal Volcano
Travel by private vehicle through scenic mountains and rich agricultural land (2 hrs) to experience rural life in Costa Rica. Your journey continues farther into the Central Highlands where you will hike through a lush rainforest canyon and stop for a refreshing swim under La Fortuna waterfall. Then we are visit Don Juan Eco Farm, a local farmer who loves to teach visitors about tropical farming, native and introduced plants, including their medicinal uses. He is especially proud of his bio-digester methane gas production system that uses cow manure as a fuel source to produce methane gas for cooking! We’ll have fun with a tortilla making challenge while lunch is prepared by Don Juan’s wife, Yamileth, using our freshly picked produce. Return to your hotel to rest, relax pool side or take a short hike with your guide.

DAY FOUR – Canopy Zip Line
Children and adults will be thrilled with our next adventure:The canopy tour not only offers you a great adventure but also an opportunity to observe all the animal life in its natural habitat. Each platform has been designed the way you can observe the forest from different angles allowing you to photograph the impressive scenery.

Let’s pack up our belongings and head to the beach! Arrive late afternoon at Playa Langosta Beach, Guanacaste.
