RIO DE JANEIRO, Known as “The Marvelous City”, Rio de Janeiro city is internationally famous for its unique natural beauty.
OUR TOUR INCLUDES: Pick-up from the hotel to go to Tijuca’s Forest, an area in ecological preservation of the Atlantic Wood, is the biggest urban forest in the world. Rides with stops at the Chinese View Turret – where we can see the Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, the Guanabara Bay and Niterói – at waterfalls of crystalline waters and also easy hiking through trails inside the forest. After the visit to the National Park we will follow to the Corcovado Hill, located at the Tijuca’s Forest, where is the Christ Redeemer Statue, Rio de Janeiro’s postal card.
The Corcovado, one of the most beautiful panoramas of the city, together with the D.Marta Turret, is an obligatory visit for the tourists. At the feet of the Statue, it’s seen the South Zone with the Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and the Botanic Garden. At the D.Marta Turret, the attraction is part of the North Zone with Maracanã and the Guanabara Bay with the Rio-Niterói Bridge, the Sugar Loaf, Marina of Glory and Niterói. Then we’ll go down through the neighborhood of Laranjeiras and follow to restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, we continue our ride visiting the Sugar Loaf Hill, at the Guanabara Bay entrance, which is a visual reference to navigators from the skies or form the seas. By its ogive form, privileged location, presence in the city’s story and original access to its top, it is a natural, historical and touristic mark of Rio de Janeiro city.
To finish our tour through the wonderful city, we’ll visit the Botanic Garden, created by D.João VI in 1817 to serve as a cultivation center of exotic plants. No other park can compare to this one for the variety of species that are cultivated is huge, like Imperial Palm-tree, the big water lilies, famous Victoria-regia, models of Brazil Wood, an almost extinct tree in our littoral. With pleasing hiding-places, it was one of the favorite places of Tom Jobim, continuous frequenter.
