The Maya civilization was a Mesoamerican civilization developed by the Maya peoples, and noted for its hieroglyphic script the only known fully developed writing system of the pre-Columbian Americas as well as for its art, architecture, mathematics, calendar, and astronomical system. Itinerary:

 

Day 1: Arrival to Guatemala City

Meet and greet by our representative and transfer to your hotel in Antigua.

Day 2:  Antigua

Day Tour 09:00 am will meet with the guide for a walking tour in the city center. The Central Plaza know, El Palacio de los Capitanes Generales, the Cathedral, Calle del Arco, La Merced Church, Hotel Museo Casa Santo Domingo, and a market Local Craft. 12:00 pm Free time for lunch (not included) 13:00 pm afternoon will visit the charming towns of San Juan del Obispo and Monastery Bishop Marroquin, San Pedro Las Huertas and public stack, Old Town, The 2nd Capital of the Kingdom of Guatemala, San Antonio Aguas Calientes, famous for its handmade textiles, plantation Macadamia Nut. 16:00 pm End of the tour and return to your hotel. • Accommodation in Antigua.

Day 3: Full day Chichicastenango and Lake Atitlan

7:00 am Departure from the hotel to the highlands of Guatemala, to the famous outdoor market of Chichicastenango and the Church of St. Thomas, this is a market that appears every Thursday and Sunday, disappears as one of the ancient commercial traditions the highlands of Guatemala and now delights visitors. 12.00pm continues to Panajachel, the main village overlooking Lake Atitlan where you will have free time for lunch and tour the town. Day 4: Visit Lake Atitlan

8:00 a.m Departure from hotel in Panajachel, the main village overlooking Lake Atitlan where you will take a boat and visit 3 villages across the Lake, San Juan La Laguna, San Pedro La Laguna and Santiago Atitlan. In this region of Guatemala, you’ll appreciate the costumes at its best, as in Santiago, where men wear white knee pants with vertical lines lilac, long sleeves and a hat. Women wear white “huipil” (tunic) with geometric patterns, a circle of red and a beautiful headdress. Visit to San Juan la Laguna (1 hour) • Demonstration of the production of textiles, dyed naturally as a Mayan heritage.

Day 5: Full day Tikal

Day 6: Full day Guatemala City

You will visit the historic center: National Palace, Guatemala Bank buildings, City Hall and National Theatre, then to the Relief Map, the residential and business areas. • Free time for lunch 14:00 pm In the afternoon visit to choose from the National Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology or Ixchel and Popol Vuh. End of the tour and return to your hotel.

Day 7: Departure from Guatemala City

At proper time transfer to the International Airport.
